Hey, do you like my ad? Let Facebook know

Facebook recently introduced an interesting twist on the good ol’ pay per click ad. Viewers of an Facebook ad can rate whether they like or dislike an ad — very similar to the like/unlike comments FB users can click on wall posts. This feature is meant to help Facebook maintain a balance between allowing some advertising while discouraging unwanted ads. The ad vote feature puts the power of advertising in the hands of the FB community, although a missing link is the ability for advertisers to see stats on the likes/dislikes an ad receives. This may change soon, but for now, audience acceptance will be guesswork for marketers. Plus another question raised; wouldn’t a click be an indication of a “like”? And what does a “like” mean if there is no click on the ad?
You can see Facebook’s post on the new feature, as well as comments from FB marketers. What do you think of the like/dislike feature?
