You would probably get a better answer in the Camcorder category. The quality of your video is dependent on your camera. Storing it on your memory card and saving it to your computer does not degrade the quality of your video. Your post processing, video editing, probably has more to do with the quality of the video than its storage. I would hold off on buying the capture card until I knew of something that it would do for me that I cannot do some other cheaper way.

a receptionist too so I feel your pain. People can be rude for no reason. But think of it in their point of view. Basically your agents in your office are calling people out of the blue on their home number and trying to sell them something. Most people get agitated by these types of calls so these people contacting you are no different. for you, you have to deal with these unhappy people. Your job as a receptionist is to be polite and helpful even when the people are being cruel. The most you can say is that sorry for bothering them at home but it was one of your agents that contacted you and not you personally. Everything job has its positives and negatives points, dealing with angry customers if one of your negative points.

I spend almost as much for cable TV every year as I do for health care, so living proof that it IS possible. I pay $1320/year for cable TV and $1460/year for health care. I pay $55/month for a major medical plan to cover the big stuff for myself and two children. I use a tax free health savings account that I contribute to for our routine care needs. That runs about $800/year for the three of us, making my total annual health care expense $1460. Affordable health care IS out there. People just bother trying to find or use it. From what you describe, it does appear that your plan would cover what is called a "medical eye exam" but not the exam required to prescribe glasses. There should not be any "oops," but rather an up-front explanation that if you would like a prescription for glasses you will have to pay out-of-pocket for that.

Dealing with modern insurance is frustrating for both the patient and the doctor. Remember that it is the insurance (not the doctor) that makes the rules. A refraction is a time-consuming task that takes skill to perform properly. If it is not covered by your insurance expect to pay anywhere between $25-90 (depending) for this.
